Our Mission

OP-Syn exists to help UK consumers make informed decisions about financial products, insurance, technology, legal services, and health products. We do this by publishing detailed, objective comparison content based on publicly available information and hands-on testing.

Independence

OP-Syn is editorially independent. No advertiser, merchant, or affiliate partner has any influence over our ratings, rankings, or review content. We do not accept payment for positive reviews or placement in comparison tables.

Review Methodology

Every review on OP-Syn follows a structured process:

1. Research

We collect product data from:

• The provider’s official website and documentation
• Regulatory filings (FCA register, FSCS, ICO)
• Public pricing pages and terms & conditions
• Hands-on testing where possible (opening accounts, testing apps, comparing features)

2. Comparison

Products are compared using standardised criteria:

• Pricing — Listed as displayed on the provider’s website at time of review
• Features — Verified against the provider’s published feature list
• Performance — Based on publicly available benchmarks and hands-on testing
• Customer satisfaction — Sourced from Trustpilot, ReviewCentre, and App Store ratings

3. Rating

Products are rated on a 5-star scale based on:

• Value for money (30%)
• Features and functionality (25%)
• Customer experience (20%)
• Transparency and trust (15%)
• Ease of use (10%)

4. Updates

Reviews are reviewed quarterly and updated when:

• The provider changes pricing or fees
• New features are added or removed
• Regulatory status changes
• Customer satisfaction scores shift significantly

Each article displays a “Last reviewed” date indicating when the content was last verified.

Affiliate Relationships

OP-Syn earns commission through affiliate links. This does NOT influence our content:

• Affiliate links are clearly marked with #ad disclosure
• We disclose affiliate relationships in compliance with ASA/CAP guidelines
• The highest-rated product is NOT always the highest-commission product
• We rank products based on their merits, not our commission rate

Advertising Standards

We comply with:

• ASA/CAP Code — All affiliate content is clearly labelled as advertising

If you find an error in any of our reviews, contact editor@op-syn.com and we will investigate and correct it within 48 hours.
